A £5 per carton deposit will be required upon confirmation of booking and the balance after your shipment is collected. Payment should be made by cash direct to our driver or can be transferred direct to our account. WHAT SIZES OF CARTONS DO CROWN ACE UK (CAUK) PROVIDE? Please see Carton types at ‘Online Order ’ section from our website. WHAT IF I WANT MY CARTONS/ITEMS TO BE COLLECTED OUTSIDE THE COLLECTION PERIOD?
You will be required to pay an additional 10% from final/total bill to cover for storage. There is also an additional charge imposed to cover for transportation and labour cost involved for this special collection arrangement.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY SHIPMENT TO GET TO ITS DESTINATION? Allow 6-8 weeks for sea freight shipments. Please note that these transit times are not guaranteed and can vary from destination to destination. However, the estimate time taken for your belongings to get to its destination from the day we collect them is 8 weeks. WHAT IS INCLUDED FOR DOOR-TO-DOOR SHIPPING? Customs clearance, handling and de-consolidation charges and your consignment is delivered to your front door at no extra charges HOW SHOULD I PACK MY GOODS? CAUK offers a full range of double-walled cartons designed to withstand the rigours of transit. Cartons can be kept for as long as you wish, however, we suggest you over-order as any excess cartons can be returned to us and your deposit money will be fully refunded as long as you keep the cartons in good condition. Packing materials such as bubble wrap are available upon request for fragile items . You must ensure breakables are placed in the centre of the box and packed tightly to prevent movement in transit. Heavy items such as books should be evenly distributed throughout your consignment to limit risks of damage. Also, avoid packing clothing in plastic bags, as condensation will occur. If in doubt please contact our experts for advice. HOW DO I GET MY CARTONS DELIVERED AND COLLECTED? Carton delivery/collections may be made by us or our appointed carriers. We will notify you to expect either an AM or PM delivery/collection time in advance. Please ensure that you are at home, at the appointed time, as wasted visits not only cost money (extra collections are chargeable) but inconvenience other clients too. To help us to find you quickly, please supply details of local landmarks (shop, buildings, etc.) when you give us your address or postcode. For ease of collection, please ensure that you have completed in advance of our driver’s arrival, all documentation given to you, and that your cartons is ready for our driver to take. Please note that no carton should weigh more than 35 kgs, in accordance with UK health & Safety Regulations, an additional £1 per kg will be chargeable. A good indication of this is that you can lift and carry these cartons yourself. WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE? The rate for protection against total loss of owner packed goods is 5% of the value placed by customer on their shipment. For values over £500 please call for a possible reduced rate depending on value and destination. HOW DO I CALCULATE THE COST OF ODD / STANDALONE ITEMS? Surface charges are based on the overall volume of goods for shipment. To calculate the volume of a given item we multiply the length, breadth and height in feet, e.g. a carton measuring 2.5ft x 1.5ft x 1.5 ft = 6 cuft. Cost is calculated per cubic feet (cu ft). Charge will be £6 per cu ft. Or you can used our volume calculator to get exact volume. WHAT DO OUR CHARGES INCLUDE? Our door-to-door service also includes: - Destination customs clearance

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR CUSTOM CLEARANCE? All shipments require documentation to be completed by the owner/receiver of the goods. These papers will be supplied by us and must be return to us, before your goods are despatched from the UK. We require a photocopy of the ID page of your passport. WILL MY CARTON BE INSPECTED BY CUSTOMS? Practically no! But we require you to sign up a declaration clause in the booking/shipping form. CAN WE USE OUR OWN CARTONS OR TRUNKS? Yes, not a problem at all, charge will be £6 per cuft. WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED FROM IMPORTATION AND SHIPPING? Prohibit or restrict importation and shipping of the following items: - Firearms, ammunition and explosives
- Hazardous items such as fireworks, toxic or poisonous substances
- Swords, sabres, daggers, spears, switch blades, hatchets
- Items made from animals on the endangered species list (eg ivory)
- Foodstuffs, plants, herbs & spices
- Dried flowers, bulbs, seeds, pine cones, pot pourri
- Soil, sand, straw & hay
- Unprocessed furs, skins and hunting trophies
- Alcohol
- Medicines & narcotic drugs
- Pornographic materials
WHAT HAPPENS ON ARRIVAL AT DESTINATION? When your consignment arrives at the destination port our appointed representative will contact you or your representatives in Malaysia to arrange a suitable date for delivery to your address/destination.
